1. Lagos Avenida Hotel

A 13-minute walk from Lagos train station, this chic hotel overlooking the Lagos Marina is 1 km from the Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, which dates from the 17th century, and 4 km from gold-sand Meia Praia beach. Airy rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars, plus tea and coffeemaking equipment. All have en suite, shower-only bathrooms, and private balconies or terraces with sea or city views.

2. Tivoli (Lagos)

This modern all-suite hotel in a relaxed resort is 5 minutes’ walk from the railway station, 13 minutes’ walk from Meia Praia Beach and 2 km from Museu Municipal Dr José Formosinho. The streamlined studios provide complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, kitchenettes and furnished balconies. Suites add living rooms with sofa beds. Room service is available. Parking is free. Resort amenities include a bar, and a restaurant with a terrace. There’s an outdoor pool, a kids’ pool, and a spa with an indoor pool and a fitness room. A playground and bike rentals are also available.

5. Água Hotels Lagos Bay

Água Hotels Lagos Bay is a boutique hotel, ideally located on the main street of Lagos’ historic centre. This property stands out for its elegant, contemporary design combined with 1920s Art Deco, featuring strong natural and botanical elements.

6. The Island Hostel

The Island Hostel has 22 single beds and is located in Old Town Lagos (prime location). It’s ideal for people wanting to stay on a budget in a more community-focused space. The hostel has blocked out the dates for us for now to give us the opportunity to fill the entire building with just us! But in order to do that, we’d need enough prior commitment. 

Some of the beds are pod style; some are bunk style.

7. Hotel Vila Gale (Lagos)

The Vila Galé Lagos hotel is located right over the sands of Meia Praia beach, in Algarve, with a sweeping view of the sea.

Dedicated to fashion, this hotel in Lagos could not be more stylish. Its decor had the participation of renowned Portuguese designers such as Ana Salazar, José António Tenente, Miguel Vieira and Katty Xiomara, who offered original design pieces and pictures of their runway shows to “dress up” the Vila Galé Lagos hotel.

Offering free wi-fi in all areas, this hotel in Lagos offers spacious and comfortable rooms of several types, from family rooms to rooms with a view and suites. Furthermore, it’s its 1,200 m² enormous pool that makes it popular as well.

Vila Galé Lagos also has a Satsanga spa with an indoor panoramic pool, three restaurants featuring a typical regional cuisine, an equipped convention center with a 550 people capacity, children’s club, tennis courts, multi-sports field and a putting green.

The proximity to the beach is ideal for practicing nautical sports and diving.

Golf lovers have at their disposal the renowned Palmares golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

From April to October, an “all-inclusive” basis is available as well.
